perhaps you,re wiping the wrong way? drinking enough water? sharing wash clothes with a lot of people?

    Some suggestions….

    1) Clean up after sex
    2) Change your sex position
    3) Change your panties everyday and wear cotton
    4) Drink plenty of water and Cranberry juice
    5) Take vitamin C supplements to increase acidity of your urine
    6) Don’t douche
    7) Take showers instead of baths

    Peace,

Wiping the wrong way. Holding your pee for a long amount of time. Not drinking enough water.

    Genieve,
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are caused by bacteria and are 10 times more common among women than men. The risk factors include – A new sex partner or multiple partners. More frequent or intense intercourse. Diabetes. Pregnancy. Escherichia coli (E. coli) often passed from the anus to the vagina by using toilet paper and wiping in that direction. Wiping in the opposite direction is recommended. Use of irritating products such as harsh skin cleansers. Use of irritating contraceptives such as diaphragms and spermicides. Use of birth control pills. Heavy use of antibiotics. A blockage in the urinary tract (benign masses or tumours). A history of UTIs, especially if the infections were less than 6 months apart.

Wash your genitals every day, make sure everything that comes in contact with it (i.e. dildos, vibrators, partner’s penis and so on) is clean. Change panties every day. Just remember about common hygienic measures and you should be fine.

I have had similar problems, and the doctors will say the same thing David said, but in my opinion and experience (and I am no doctor) sometimes it is very small, seemingly insignificant things you might do during sex (if this is what is causing your infections, but you can get them without having sex). Try changing some of the things you do during sex and see if that results in less frequent infections, since sex is a very easy way to bring bacteria from the anus to the vagina. Also, my doctor said that if they are very frequently recurring, it may be a structural problem with the urethra. If you get very frequent infections you may want to see a specialist. Whatever may be the cause, try taking cranberry pills (or drink cranberry juice, I personally find the stuff disgusting) and vitamin C and that can help ward off some infections. I have found that helpful. Good luck!
